For immediate release

WINDSOR, NS – An expected 80 new jobs over the next seven years through BioVectra’s recent expansion announcement is welcome news for the Windsor area and the local economy. “I’m very excited that BioVectra has chosen our community for their expansion,” Hants West MLA Porter says. “The announcement couldn’t come at a better time when people need to hear a ‘Good News’ story that will put much needed funds back into the local economy.”

BioVectra, which produces ingredients for the global pharmaceutical industry, has purchased a facility in Windsor’s industrial area which it will upgrade for the operation. The expansion to Windsor will create a range of new highly skilled jobs in the areas of research, chemistry, biology, and pharmaceuticals.

To encourage the company to expand to Windsor, A seven-year payroll rebate agreement through Nova Scotia Business Inc. between Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI) and BioVectra was signed.
